OUR APPROACH TO PILATES

Equilibrium means equal balance and that is what we want to help you achieve. When the body has a balance of strength and length, the outcome is ideal alignment and freedom to live life doing what you love most.

We see movement as nourishing and restorative and use pilates, functional training and corrective exercise in every session to help you reach your goals.

Our studio teaches one on one and small group Pilates sessions at affordable prices.

OUR TEAM

MANAGER AND PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR

SARAH MEDLOW

Cert 3 & 4 fitness, APMA Pilates certification, Older Adults exercise certification, Pre and Post-partum Corrective Exercise Specialist and Training the Female Athlete and Runner courses.

I was captivated with Pilates after I saw how it helped me rehab from a car accident many years ago. Since then I have loved how adaptable the method is, helping me through 3 pregnancies and post-natal recoveries and aiding recovery from pelvic injury and chronic pelvic pain. I enjoy working with all clients but am especially passionate about working with women during pregnancy and post-natal recovery whether that be soon after birth or 20 years after birth. I am married with 3 kids and enjoy reading and learning new things.

ASSISTANT MANAGER AND INSTRUCTOR

TANIA SMITH

I have been a Fitness and Pilates Instructor since 2013. I am married with a daughter and a son-in-law.
Pilates has been life changing for me as I have suffered with muscle pain in the neck and shoulder for most of my life. I constantly paid for massages to help ease my pain, which was always a very short-term relief. Since starting Pilates, I have become completely pain free, allowing me to live life to the fullest. This is what ignited a passion for me to help others do the same. I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to help clients relieve pain, increase strength and mobility and help realign the body so they can function correctly.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY….

“I started Pilates after having my first baby about 12 weeks post birth. My pelvic floor was weak and I wanted to exercise in a way that would enable me to rehabilitate safely.
My flexibility has improved and although I was already physically strong I now understand how to access more muscles in my body than ever before and use my core for stability. My posture is also improving.
I love knowing that at Pilates I can work hard without risk of injury. Pilates has played a big role in returning my body back to pre baby strength and size.”
-Bek

“I had constant back pain due to the physicality of my job which ended in an injury.Through Pilates I have learnt to manage my injury and improved my flexibility and strength. If you are a man who lives with discomfort and pain I encourage you to give Pilates a go. Once the basics are learnt you will see the improvement in your body.”
